So, I\u2019ve decided to move to\u00a0KeePass<\/strong>:
\nThis time I\u2019ve decided not to give it to the \u201ccloud\u201d. I know, I\u2019ll sacrifice some good features but in exchange, I\u2019ll get it free-forever and 100% control of the data. It comes with\u00a0plugins<\/a>\u00a0as well (need to vet them first!).<\/p>\n

I\u2019<\/span>ve been using KeePass in past and it does its job very well, for my needs. The only missing point is to have it available in one central place because you need to have an encrypted file in each device where you want to use it (kind of predictable).
\nAlthough, we can install on each device the KeePass porting based on the OS we use, just check the\u00a0supported (unofficial) clients<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The main (disappointing) issue is that\u00a0KeePassX<\/a>\u00a0(the Mac OS porting) does not have the import functionality, which is very fundamental in order to migrate properly.
\nSo, I\u2019ve found an easy way: using WINE \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

These are the simple steps to have it locally on a Mac OS platform.<\/p>\n

Download Dependencies<\/h1>\n

  1. Download\u00a0Mono for Mac<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Download\u00a0Wine Mono<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Download\u00a0KeePass<\/a>\u00a0(Windows \u201cedition\u201d)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Install<\/h1>\n

    Configure Wine to use Windows 10 by running in a terminal:<\/p>\n

    Note: you need to adjust the path to the files \ud83d\ude09<\/em><\/p>\n

    Verify that the install process has been completed properly by checking the installed software:<\/p>\n
